The five KING SEIKO timepieces launched in 2022 share a bold and refined, yet straightforward and comfortable-to-wear design inspired by the 1965 KSK and the result of an extreme search for functionality and practicality in use. The combination of a flat dial with faceted hour markers and large sharp hands gives the watch a refined and striking character. The powerful faceted lugs have sharp angles and large flat surfaces with mirror and brushed finishes that create a three-dimensional effect. The index at twelve o’clock, more than twice as wide as the others, has a specially molded texture designed to ensure high readability and give the dial an attention-grabbing brilliance. The three-dimensional hour markers are applied with diamond-cut workmanship that resonates beautifully with the dial’s soleil finish. The case is designed in such a way that, when combined with the “box shaped” sapphire crystal, gives this watch a subtle and elegant feel. An anti-reflective coating on the inner surface of the glass ensures excellent readability from all angles. The flat bracelet pays homage to the design of the original King Seiko series and features an alternating brushed and mirror finish: its many beveled surfaces reflect light in dynamic and ever-changing ways. Powered by Caliber 6R31, the watch has a 70-hour power reserve and is water-resistant to 100 meters.
